EVAThis policy explains how personal data submitted through this website is collected, used, stored, and protected, and how you can exercise your rights. It is written to reflect the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).
Who we are
EVA Festival (the “Arab Women’s Festival”) is organised by WHITE AND BLACK LIGHTS PARTIES & ENTERTAINMENTS SERVICES L.L.C (trading as White & Black Events & PR Management), Dubai, UAE (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal data collected through this website and act as the data controller. For any data question, contact us at email us.
What we collect
We only collect personal data through our nomination form. When you nominate a woman, we collect: the nominee’s full name, email, phone number, country, city, occupation, social media / Instagram link, the achievements you describe, and any documents or photo you choose to upload. We also record the consent you give on the form. We do not run advertising trackers or sell any data.
Why we collect it, and our legal basis
We use this information for one purpose only: to review and judge nominations for the festival’s awards. Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
Nominating someone else
Because the nomination form is usually completed by someone other than the nominee, we ask the person submitting to confirm they have the nominee’s permission to share her details with us. If you are a nominee and want your information removed, email our contact email and we will delete it.
Who sees your submission
Nominations are reviewed only by WHITE AND BLACK LIGHTS PARTIES & ENTERTAINMENTS SERVICES L.L.C (the EVA Festival organising team) and the Festival Committee — the panel that judges the awards. Review is carried out privately and internally at our office; submissions are never published online or shared with anyone outside this process without your consent, except where required by law.
Where it is stored (outside the UAE)
Our website and email are hosted by Hostinger on servers located outside the UAE (for example, in the United States). By submitting the form, you consent to your information being transferred to and stored in that location for the purpose above.
How long we keep it
We keep nomination data only for as long as needed to run the current edition of the festival, and then we delete it.
How we protect it
The form is protected by spam controls (a honeypot and Google reCAPTCHA), submissions are sent over an encrypted connection, and our published contact details are obfuscated to deter misuse. We use only the cookies that Google reCAPTCHA needs to tell humans from bots; we set no advertising or tracking cookies. Google reCAPTCHA and Google Fonts are used on our pages and process limited technical data (such as your IP address) under Google’s own privacy terms.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, or to receive a copy of your data. Email our contact email and we will respond. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may contact the UAE Data Office.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
